"Shameless fraud," Jibrin slams Dogara, says NO apology Jibrin said he has petitioned the EFCC, ICPC over the matter, insisting Dogara and others are corrupt.


As the crisis rocking the House of Representatives deepens, the embattled former chairman of Appropriation Committee, who blew the whistle on the alleged monumental corruption in the lower chamber, Hon.Abdulmumin Jibrin has rubbished the 7-day ultimatumissued to him by the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara.

Dogara had in a letter addressed to Jibrin on Wednesday, July 27, demanded the APC lawmaker to retract all corruption allegations made against him and other principal officers of the House, and asked him (Jibrin) to also tender an unreserved apology within seven days or face legal action
Jibrin had alleged that Dogara, his deputy, Yussuff Lasun, Majority Whip Alhassan Doguwa and Minority Leader Leo Ogor of fraudulently padding the budget.
But Jibrin, who said he has submitted his petition against the Speaker and others Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), vowed never to apologise.
“I will not and will never apologise to a shameless fraud in high office who has glaringly abused public trust like Speaker Dogara and three others,” Jibrin wrote on Twitter.
